Hey, I'm Luka. Melbourne-based technologist, music producer, and writer.I'm currently AI Solutions Lead at Pathfindr, where I help businesses turn AI ambitions into systems that actually get used.I've spent the last decade working across education, government, startups, and enterprise, while building a parallel career as a songwriter and producer signed to Sony Music Publishing, with #1 charting records and credits across Sony, Warner, Universal, and OVO Sound. That work continues over at lukajaudio.com.

About me

Technologist, songwriter, and writer based in Melbourne, Australia.I'm a creative thinker who just happens to not be afraid of technology. For the last decade I've been songwriting and producing records, while simultaneously building IT systems in schools, automating studio operations, and figuring out how to make technology work for people who couldn't care less how it worked. The two never really separated, honestly I'm not sure they were ever supposed to.The tech side took me through education, government, enterprise IT, and now into applied AI solutions.Somewhere in between I was working with founders across music-tech, blockchain, and media startups. The music side took me across the country touring with artists, into studios in LA writing alongside some of the best songwriters in the business, and onto the stage at SXSW Sydney.Withing with platinum-charting producers and major labels, I learned pretty quickly that the music industry has more tools than it knows what to do with and almost no processes to speak of.Honestly, every one of those environments, tech and music, taught me the same thing: the hard part is never the tool. It's the people and the process around it.

Throughout all of it, I've been driven by the same instinct: figure out what actually needs to happen, and build the simplest version that gets there.Whether that's arranging a song, scoping an AI system, or convincing a room full of stakeholders that the thing they asked for isn't the thing they need. The best solutions I've seen come from creative thinking applied to practical problems. And the skill that makes that work is being comfortable not knowing the answer yet, sitting in the mess long enough to find the real question before you start building.I care about craft.I care about making things that work, that people actually use, that respect the intelligence of the people they're built for. That's true whether I'm writing a song, shipping automation, or drafting a post at midnight because the idea wouldn't leave me alone!

The music has its own home at lukajaudio.com.Outside of work, I'm a homelabber, a reader, and a homebrewer who almost went pro (complete with yeast performance datasheets and per-brew data dashboards, because apparently I can't do anything without overengineering it).I write regularly on LinkedIn about AI adoption and what it actually takes to make these tools work at scale. If something I wrote brought you here, I'd genuinely love to hear about it.

Work

The thread across everything I do is the same question I've been asking since my first session behind a mixing console:
Does this thing actually serve the purpose it's supposed to serve?

Pathfindr

AI Solutions Lead. I take client problems from discovery through to production deployment.Equal parts technical scoping, stakeholder translation, and knowing when the simpler version solves 80% of the problem and you should just ship that first.

Writing

I write about AI, process automation, and the gap between what technology promises and what it actually delivers.Grounded in real implementation experience, not commentary from the sidelines.

Music

#1 charting songwriter, producer, and engineer, signed to Sony Music Publishing.Credits spanning Pop, Hip-Hop, R&B, Country, and Electronic across releases on Sony, Warner, Universal, and OVO Sound. Still going.
